Introduction
This course is intended for all personnel who may operate hydraulic lorry-loaders under the Health and Safety Regulations 1992. In addition, it has been designed to be in compliance with the employers duties to provide adequate safety training under Section 2(2)c of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and subsequent amendments.

The programme is presented using OHP slide projections and supported by VHS videos.
Duration
This would be dependent on the level of experience and competence. However the usual durations would be:
a) One-day (7.5 hrs.) operator refresher training, only for operators who can provide documentary evidence of having received adequate basic training.
b) Two-day (16 hrs.) basic operator training for existing operators who have received no formal training.
c) Three-day foundation training course aimed at the novice/inexperienced operator and designed to bring the candidate to the level of competence required for the basic practical test.
The ratios for this training is:
1 trainer – 1 machine: 1-3 operators

The dates, times and venue of courses can be arranged to suit your particular work environment, dependant upon availability of instructor.
Documentation
Upon successful completion of the practical test, a Certificate of Basic Training will be supplied as evidence of formal training.
